This week in PE, both Diamond Class and Emerald Class worked together in our circle groups. Our objective was to work as a group to design a relay race which everyone could take part in. First we sat in our groups to think up our races. Then the circle leads got together to set out the races and make sure each team knew what they had to do. We had great fun and learned how support and encouragement can help teams achieve.
Miss Fairbrother takes afterschool sports club and this week we are learning how to play football and Chinese football.
Miss Fairbrother teachers Emerald Class PE every Monday. We are currently learning ball skills and this week we learned how to bounce and catch a ball.
We had a wonderful sports day where everyone did their best and took part in a range of races. There were lots of our values like courage, perseverance and compassion being shown during the morning. Well done all.
Some of the school represented us at the U.E.A cluster sports and they did incredibly well. We won a staggering 17 medals! We are incredibly proud of every pupil that went.
Diamond Class took part in a fencing morning held by Premier Sports. They learned how to place their feet and how to put the kit on and use it correctly. They also learned the importance of the foils and sabres.
Diamond Class sent a Year 3/4 and a 5/6 team to the Cluster Football Tournament. We had great fun and learned how to apply all of our football skills in matches against other teams.
A group of Year 1 and 2 children applied the skills they had learned by taking part in the Acle Cluster KS1 Football Tournament.
It was a lovey sunny afternoon and great fun was had by all.
