Emerald Class Autumn Term 2020

This half term we have had lots of fun inside and out. Here is a taste of what we have been doing in school this half term.

We discovered that you can use the inside of an acorn to draw with!

Some of the children made the teachers using natural materials. Can you guess who is who?

We found some bright red seeds and decided to plant them.

The children have been ordering numbers.

We made pictures using just leaves.

We have been doubling and halving.

There has been potato printing with shapes to make patterns.

Clay faces appeared on the trees in school!

We have been retelling the story of the Gruffalo too.

And finally we have been making salt dough Christmas decorations.

Emerald class made a beautiful lion from autumn leaves at playtime.

Emerald class have been learning about endangered animals

Today we looked at a famous painting by Henri Rousseau and made our own versions.

Forest School wc 21st September

This week in forest school the children collected 271 conkers! We counted them and it took a very long time so we grouped them into tens and counted again. This was much quicker!
