Christmas Scones

Our Design Technology project this Term was designing and making Christmas scones. We tasted and evaluated plain scones then a range of Christmassy ingredients so that we could design our own festive ones. Having made them, we tasted our own and evaluated them against our original design criteria. They tasted amazing and looked Christmassy too!

Making Crowns

To celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, Diamond Class designed and made their own Jubilee crown. They learned all about the different crowns that the Queen has and made their own. We think we looked really royal!

Our Easter Bonnets

First, we planned and designed our hats. We watched a video about Christian symbols of Easter for inspiration.

To work out the size our hats had to be, we measured our heads with a piece of string. We then used a compass to draw our base and lid.

Some of us found it hard so we just drew around a plate. We had to measure the circumference of the base to work out our sides though!

We had great difficulty glueing it all together. It was a tedious process but it was worth it for the finished product.

Before we could decorate, we had to collect the items and materials for our design. Mrs Rounce was really mean and would only let us have what we had included on our original design. A lot of people were sent back!

We carefully decorated our hats using our designs. We think they look fabulously unique! Do you?

Photo Frames

Our DT project this half term was photo frames. We investigated and learned the features of a photo frame and used these to produce our own.
